| My vette is a 1990 Quasar Blue coupe with the
L98/auto. I've had the car since January 2001, and
from what the seller told me, I'm the second
owner. I'm in Hopkins, Mo, which is a little over
2 hours due north of KC.
Mechanically, it's a sound car. The engine runs
strong and smooth, and the tranny is strong, too.
I replaced the brake pads about 2500 miles ago.
The tires have a lot of tread left. They're about
4 years old with 17~18k miles on them. I got them
when I changed to the Z06 rims.
I'd rate the paint about a 7 . There's some rash
behind the rear wheels, one small chip on top of
the rear bumper. If you took the time to clay bar
and Zaino the body, it would look real good. The
interior is in good shape. The seats have no rips
and no scuffs. The passenger seat looks brand new.
The carpet and mats are in real good shape, too.
There's a little surface wear on the driver's door
arm rest. There's one trim piece up by the roof
panel that needs glued back on. There's the door
sill trim that I need to paint and put back on. (I
broke the piece when I was working on the stereo
replacement).
I'll tell you anything about the car and the
history while I've had it...good or bad. I won't
hide what it is. It's not a pristine trailer
queen, but a good, solid driver Corvette that is
fun to drive everytime I pull it out of the
garage.
